the most of your massage; before, during, and after.
- Feel comfortable with your therapist

- Let the therapist know what you want...relaxation or help with a specific area
- Ask the therapist to avoid painful sensitive areas
- Take off the clothes you feel comfortable taking off
- Avoid eating a heavy meal before a massage
- Consider taking a shower or bath before a massage to enhance relaxation
- Let your massage therapist know when the pressure is too much and if you are experiencing
pain
- Speak up if you do not care for the aroma of the oil or the music in the background
- Focus on your breathing in the beginning of the massage to assist you in getting
into a more meditative state
- Take a few minutes to savor the results
- Drink lots of water
- Stretching is great preparation because it reduces muscle tension and allows the
body feel more relaxed
